This *would* happen to me. If you didnt know, to work every day I ride a blue Razor kick scooter. Yknow. One of those skateboards with a handlebar typically ridden by those between the ages of 8 to 12. For me, it cuts my travel time in half, and it makes wearing heels bearable since I can basically cruise wherever Id like without having to expend my foot stamina. Plus, walking sucks, and kick scooters are just freaking cool. Today, with the weather finally looking fantastic in San Francisco (its 84 degrees out right now, holy sh*t), I decided to wear a sundress. Itll be fine, I thought. Its not that windy out. And with the speed I ride my scooter, the wind friction will just push my skirt back against my thighs and Ill be perfectly decent all day! Wrong. On the way back to my office from lunch with a girlfriend, I was riding my kick scooter back through SOMA, and *of course* my skirt flew up into my face just as I was about to pass an attractive young man. Whyyyyy?! Being the awkward little weirdo I am, I screamed softly, hopped off my scooter without slowing it down first, and ran forward high-speed on the pavement alongside it while gripping the handlebars for dear life, nearly crashing into that same handsome gentleman with my skirt up around my ribs. By the time Id managed to pat it back down, red-faced and sweaty with embarrassment, he was already laughing and smirking at me. Nnnnnoooooooo!! I squeaked out an apology, gave him one of those super Asian head-bows of submission, then quickly ran away. ... How was your day?
