This would naturally result to lower cost of borrowing. Our government and local businessmen with limited financial resources should benefit from this. The issue is would this be sufficient to cut down poverty by half as our NEDA recently announced that our government intends to do by 2016? Or, as a noted columnist asked, will our country die a slow death because we are focused on addressing peripheral issues and not those that really matter?
