This year 79% of the registered voters did not vote in the Primary - TopicsExpress

This year 79% of the registered voters did not vote in the Primary Elections. That means 21% decided the outcome. The makeup of the Legislature is pretty much determined at the Primary Election. Capital Times estimates that in 73 of the 90 state legislative districts who will represent that legislative district was determined in the Primary Election. That means 81% of State Representatives and State Senators have already been determined. This year we also have state officers on the ballot. If we want a Governor, an Attorney General and a Superintendent of Public Instruction who will be supportive of our public schools, we need to be registered and vote in the November 4th General Election and we need to make sure our employees, friends, family, and neighbors are all registered and do vote. If you are not registered, you can do so at servicearizona.
