This year and this season (2014), many of you have probably heard a religious teacher or prominent Christian leader change the honest discussion of how to celebrate the coming of Christ, changing it to excusing all Christmas traditions by deceptively altering the arguments to straw-men (that we are not saying) and then to paint us as atheist or part of some cult... well, if youd like to see real facts. I encourage you to read this article, because I believe it to be well-written. And yes, I do celebrate the coming of Christ all year long, including at this time - but, yes also, God has taught me through a variety of life-things, Scripture study, and indepth history study that many of the additions/distractions to celebrating Christ are an offense to Him, so no, I dont celebrate many of them. I do try to just celebrate - and joyously so, the things that are Christ-centered. I pray this article helps people :) P.S. Studying Jewish history and roots of the Scripture is really really cool! Just be careful not to follow those who think that going back to the Mosaic law is what Jesus was teaching.
