This year has been one of the most awesome years. I am relaxing as I await a new year in a new work environment that will begin setting up my career. Lets see if I can recap and remember everything: I finally passed Vibrations lol. I joined the National Society of Black Engineers- Region IV Regional Executive Board as the 2014-2015 Regional Leadership Committee Chairperson while planning one of the most memorable Regional Leadership Conferences in NSBE. I have met some of the most awesome beings known to man in all of NSBE from our National Leadership Conference as well as by working with them to this point. I also had my second encounter with another of the esteemed Founding Members of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) I was appointed to the 2014 Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Michigan District Conference Planning Committee as Conference Co-Chair along the District Leadership of Michigan. I was admitted to WSU Graduate School for Engineering Management I watched my fiancee Alanna, with whom I celebrated 4 years of love, growth, and prosperity with, graduate with her Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering and start her career. (Did i fail to mentioned she is effing amazing to me? She is the fearless Lion who tamed me to be a great lion as well. - Eric Thomas the Hip Hop Preacher reference) I completed research for one of the Big Three Companies in Automotives. My collegiate experience was capped off by ways of making 4 young men my Brothers (Virgil Stafford III Kyles HamiltonJr Charles Hamilton and Brandon Davis) by ways of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated Alpha Upsilon Chapter. I completed my Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering in December 2014. (first Male in my family to obtain a college Degree and first member of my family to obtain an engineering degree) I bridged to an Alumni Chapter: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Sigma Delta Lambda Chapter and serve the brothers as a social media coordinator for the chapter. I received a job offer with Consumers Energy as an Engineer gaining experience in leadership and management. Did I mention that I am the first of my family to get an Engineering Degree? I say....job well done. 2015, I hope you are ready for me because I am coming full steam ahead. I have spent these past months developing myself to this point. I am making it to be the man God would have me to be. Thankful for Him keeping through this point. Happy New Year everyone!!
