This year marked my 10th Shriners Circus in a row with my Grandkids.Yep, 10 times with no break in between.We always get a picture button made to commemorate the year.So I have buttons from 2005-2014.This was the first year that we ever saw a guy standing behind an elephant with a bucket to catch the elephant shit.That must be a very interesting job.Amongst the other tigers they had a white tiger this year. I bent down and whispered in my Grandaughters ear Hey, CD...Wouldnt that be something if that tiger turned on him and ate his ass up? She looked up at me and said with much glee Yeah Pawpaw, that would be the best part of the circus and we laughed. Theres something weird happening there because I see myself as a loving,caring and compassionate guy...however, theres something inside of me that wants to see the tiger slap the trainer upside his head and scare the shit out of him. I dont necessarily have to see him get mauled.Just slapped and rolled a few times.Whatever that darkness is...I guess I need to work on that.That said...It was a pretty good circus. The quick change clothes folks were there...and I still dont know how they do it.I saw the bears riding on bikes...and I looked at Mechelle and said Ya know, I kinda feel sorry for the animals She said Yeah..me too.Maybe thats why I want to see the tiger prevail.Dunno. Ohhhhhhh, and the lady riding the elephants is always the best for me. Man,I even saw a Zoltar fortune telling machine..just like on the Tom Hanks movie BIG.It was a great time had by all.Hopefully the tigers had a good time too. .
