This year our school district is adopting a Drop Everything and Read program that once a week will allow every student to read silentlyselect a book from a Homeroom library of books purchased by the district or donated to the school by members of the community. My friends and I plan to donate Bibles for those who are interested in reading the worlds best selling Book. (Pray for that to go well.) I have had an age-appropriate classroom library everywhere Ive taught, building in classroom time for students to read. Youd be surprised how much they love some of the classics once theyve had the chance to open them!
