This year, the Portland Police Bureaus K-9 Unit is being honored as Grand Marshal of the 2014 Multnomah Days Parade, which starts at 10 a.m. this Saturday, 8/16. The recent shooting of Officer Jeff Dorn, and his K-9 partner Mick, while in pursuit of a burglary suspect in our community raised the awareness of these specially trained dogs and their law enforcement partners. It is a privilege to allow us to show our communitys appreciation by having Officer Jeff Dorn represent the Portland Police Bureau K-9 Unit as Grand Marshal of the Multnomah Days Parade.
