This years Pipeworks Festival has been launched and will take place between the 18th and 27th of June, in various venues. While primarily an international organ festival, there is, as always, a choral element and Mornington Singers will be performing at a concert in the Pro Cathedral on the evening of Thursday, the 19th of June. Check out the festival website for the full programme of events: pipeworksfestival. Also, from tomorrow, festival Director Mark Duley kicks off the organ equivalent of an ultra marathon, by performing an incredible 20 concerts in 20 cathedrals in 13 counties over 7 days! Admission will be free, but there will be a collection taken in aid of Pipeworks, with a suggested donation of €5. Find full details of venues and dates on the festival website, or follow it on Facebook or Twitter. Dont miss this chance to hear some top class organ music and support a very worthy event in the cultural calendar. Heres Mark launching the festival last week.
