This year’s budget poses a number of questions. The first - TopicsExpress

This year’s budget poses a number of questions. The first question is what is more important – tax cuts that disproportionately benefit the wealthy and Wall St. OR quality services and the jobs of the hardworking New Yorkers that provide them? If your answer is tax cuts, then a few more questions need to be asked, such as which services are you prepared to cut? Your child’s education? Care for disabled? Maintenance of the roads, bridges or mass transit you take to work every day? Those questions are a lot harder to answer. Fax your Senator and Assemblymember Today and demand they OPPOSE any budget that prioritizes tax cuts over the jobs and services New Yorkers rely on everyday! New York has already cut, cut, and cut some more. It’s time to stop repeating failed policies of tax cuts and service cuts that benefit the Wealthy and Wall St, but hurt the rest of us. Fax your legislators TODAY, and ask them to reject shortsighted tax cuts that will lead to cuts to vital services. Tell them to: (1) Reject Estate, Corporate, Bank and Manufacturer Tax Cuts (2) Reject the Property Tax Freeze (3) Delink the Circuit Breaker from the Property Tax Cap nysaflcio.org/JobsNOTcuts
