This year’s event in Brussels had attracted about 25,000 top buyers and sellers sourcing products and network within the industry from nearly 1700 exhibitors represented by 76 countries. This one of the world’s biggest seafood trade shows was held for three days from 23 April to 25 April 2013. INFOFISH had facilitated the participation of the Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia (FDAM), the National Fisheries Authority (NFA) of Papua New Guinea and two private companies from Maldives, promoting their seafood, canned and value-added products. Other INFOFISH members seen participating with their dedicated pavilions were India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Philippines and Indonesia. In 2014, ESE will be rebranded as Seafood Expo Global scheduled for 6-8 May 2014. The organizer, Diversified Business Communications, feels that the branding initiative reflects the event’s positioning to be the most important trade show for the global seafood industry.infofish.org/News.aspx?Type=Infofish&ID=389
