This year’s theme on Day of Democracy is Engaging Young People on Democracy. The theme could not have come at a better time when pettiness, hatred, unrest, violence, terrorism, etc. have become common. The youth have the potential to change this scenario by changing themselves for positive sharpening of democratic ideals in bringing about all around transformation. The youths should be responsible citizens with sense of responsibility, belonging and ownership. On them the hope and the future of society and the nation rest. Let us work together that pettiness, narrow mindedness, ego and conceit are not allowed to breed and stand on the way of a bright future.
