This young boy is very special to one of my long time supporters, who is a oncology nurse. I very rarely share fundraising causes, particularly personal ones, but shes been telling me about him for a while now. Please consider reaching out to help his family, even if its just the cost of one ebook: On September 18, 2012, 9-year-old Thomas was diagnosed with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS). RMS is a rare cancer of the muscles and connective tissues affecting only 350 people each year. Early detection is almost impossible and sadly, the cancer had spread to his bones and spine by the time the disease presented itself. But Thomas is much more than this disease. He is an incredibly sweet boy with a smile that warms your heart. He is a huge Giants fan and has played football with the Queens Falcons and Henning Elementary. While Thomas is receiving excellent medical care at VCU Medical Center, he will have to undergo extensive chemotherapy and radiation treatments. His family faces massive medical bills as a result.
