This young poundie is now safe with Big Dog Rescue. He arrived on the same transport yesterday as Pickles. He was the only dog left in the pound at Hay after Pickles got his papers to freedom, and we couldnt leave him behind to die. I have named him Little Bear and he is in foster care with me. He is just breaking my heart, hes so young, hesitant but then full on and affectionate, acting silly and doesnt really know whether hes coming or going. But so lovely, and been well received by the other dogs in my home. Little Bear has the most beautiful face and eyes. I am pretty sure, as is my vet, that Little Bear has some Ridgeback in his mix. And he reminds me of Chewy. Will post photos and notes on him over the next couple of days. (Maryanne)
