Thom Thez Thits Thime Thor Throwback Thursday Yes folks it is near the weekend and time for a fourth Throwback Thursday, a story, music clip, and picture. 1975 I met Donna Block and as time went by, I met her brother Kevin who loved Queen. I had a Sansui Quadrophonic QRX 5500 receiver and 4 speakers that put out the jams and I let Kevin come over to listen to Queen. The key was he couldnt tell his mom that the college kid was outside talking to his sister. So now I could talk to Donna on her street and Kevin wouldnt run home and tell Mom. February 1977 after A night at the Opera was released in 1975 and nowA Day at the Races tour *(Released in Dec. 1976) was on in the USA with Thin Lizzy opening Yes, the Boys are Back in Town WOW ! We got tickets and went to the Arena for a unbelieveable Light show, performance theatrics, and of course QUEEN rockin to Tie Your Mother Down, Sheer Heart Attack, Bohemian Rhapsody, and I was with the Love of my Life. It was spectacular. A short sidebar now, I first heard Bohemian Rhapsody while shopping at Gliks a clothing store that sold For Guys on the Go, For Guys on the GO H.I.S. ,H.I.S. (for you youngins that was the top selling pants along with Levis) in St. John by the old Gem theatre on St. Charles Rock Road. I immediately bought the album and 8 track. What a haunting song with all kinds of different tones of music. Love it. Of course Waynes World brought back the song Bohemian Rhapsody in the movie for all the younger folks to listen to Rock Royalty -- QUEEN.
