Thomas Jefferson was neither a democrat or a Republican. He was a Jeffersonian Republican schooled in classical liberalism. If alive today he would be an Independent or a Libertarian. I do verily believe that if Jefferson were alive today he would agree with my sentiment. I know I have offended many for some past comments and for that I am sorry. But the stakes today are too high to worry about hurting peoples feelings. The last 5 years under President Obama and the Democrats rule have been utterly miserable. Never before have we seen such an attack on freedom, morality and abuse of executive power as we have seen under the current commander in chief. I know the Republicans are not much better BUT.. at least they have some candidates like the Pauls, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, Justin Amash, Trey Gowdy and many others who are fighting for freedoms, less government and to restore the Republic and the Constitution, whereas the democrats have not even one single candidate who even cares about the Constitution. We cannot allow the democrats to have a supermajority rule of power for another 2 o10 years. If they retain power, the Republic and the Constitution are done. I myself am an Independent/Libertarian but I can no longer vote for a third party candidate who has a ZERO chance of winning an election. More times than not when we vote third party our vote takes away from the Republican and the Democrats win. We cannot allow this any longer. Like Jefferson said Liberty is to be gained by inches and the Republicans are the inches. They are the beginning to set things back to rights. Once they are in power we have to demand from them that they follow the Constitution and then if not we can endorse and push for third party candidates who support our views. BUT THE MAIN GOAL today is to unseat the Democrats from power PERIOD! Too much is at stake today to allow the Democrats to win to retain power. Think about it... another 2 or 10 years with the democrats holding supermajority powers? There will be nothing left. So yes I understand many people are upset at my current stance but there are things much bigger here than hurt feelings. Millions have died to protect our freedoms and the Republic, the least we can do is vote. I cannot allow my country to fall to socialism and for my Constitution to be destroyed just because some want me to be silent. So please understand my stance and please go vote today for Gods sake!
