Thomas commented: The notion that we subsidize highly pollutant energy resources is counterproductive to saving this planet from the oilygarchs who have dug in deep and secured their position and made themselve unaccountable for the damage they do to the planet and the wars they start with subsidies from US taxpayers. All of the money from us taxpayers should be going towards renewable energy sources and rebuilding our infrastructure to suit the requirements of renewable resource usage. Hemp is a renewable that can grow anywhere and has 10,000 uses asides for fuel, Solar energy is a must, Germany using Jimmy Carters model managed to equal 8 nuclear power plants in their energy output, unfortunately the US idiot president Reagan dismantled the solar power program to make way for his oilygarch friends. Wind power is also a very good way to go, we have a lot of wind in America especially being emitted out the oilygarchs mouths. And we certainly get a lot more sunlight in America than Germany does, so whats stifling us from moving forwards? ALEC, AFP, Koch Brothers, Exxon/Mobil, Chevron/Texaco, Shell, BP comes to mind.
