Thompson fire update: Total Personnel: 1,023 Size: 21,089 acres Percent Contained: 40% Fire Behavior: Some surface fire internally as patchy areas burned together. Isolated single tree torching was observed internally. Fire continued to back actively to the south of Redondo Peak. Fire picked up activity late in the day made several runs to the east and southeast in the direction of the Valles Caldera Historic District. Significant Events: Yesterday, continued preparation and pre-treatment for firing operations on the south end of the fire.
