Thor: The Dark World sees its release today. The film is the sequel to 2011s Thor and is the eighth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I personally dont enjoy superhero films too much, but I can definitely gain an admiration for Marvels commitment and diligence in linking all of their superheroes through The Avengers. If you enjoy superhero films, I think the past few and next few years will be some of the best for quite awhile. Following this film, Thor may have another sequel to finish off the trilogy, but nothing is set in stone yet (the closing of this film hints at possible plot lines). In regards to future movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be released next April, a new film Guardians of the Galaxy is scheduled for release next August, and Avengers: Age of Ultron looks to be seeing a 2015 release. Lots of Marvel superheroes seeing films released and I do wonder how long Marvel can keep themselves up and going with the current, expansive set of superheroes.
