Those Left Behind Sponsored by Dr. Tamara Abbett, DDS Clementine When we opened our doors 86 years ago, we became a safe haven for people who could no longer keep a cherished pet because of a death in the family, failing health or change in living or economic conditions. Dr. Tamara Abbett, DDS, has a special place in her heart for these animals that have been left behind. In March, Clementine, a wonderful, loving 4-year-old white cat lost her human. The womans grieving son was unable to take Clementine and asked our help in finding her a home. She stayed with us at SoHumane for just over a month before finding a new family to love.
