Those clouds you see to our north in the 1st image Ive provided below show the line between warm and muggy air south of the front, as opposed to cool, dry air behind it. Indeed an isolated shower/storm is possible today bit the chance of rain climbs to about 1 in 3 as we head into the late evening hours (after dark). Monday will feel different than it has felt in a long time here in Marion, Lamar, and Fayette Counties. The front will be to our south and much cooler air will be filtering into the region. Our entire 3 County Area will dip into the lower 50s, but upper 40s are certainly possible, if the new model data is correct. Look for several days of dry weather starting on Monday afternoon. Each day, the temps will climb just a bit concerning our highs and lows. The moisture values will be going up, by Late Thursday into Friday. This could, in combination with some energy entering the region both from the north, and south, lead to quite a bit of wet weather next weekend. I will keep you updated. FALL official starts at 9:29 PM on Monday, which means our first FULL day of FALL will be on Tuesday. Ironically, Tuesday morning could be the chilliest morning weve seen here locally since early April of this year. Its like the weather knows that FALL is arriving and its giving us a visual! Enjoy your Sunday, but if you venture out tonight, you may run into a scattered shower or storm. With that in mind, rain gear may be needed just in case.
