Those elected yesterday have a duty and opportuniity to give Americans a nation that offers each of us a chance to succeed and share in the American Dream. The looney left is not going away, the far right will continue to play foot in mouth disease, and the pressure from our true enemies will keep applying deadly pressure, but the grownups of both parties must learn to better handle rhier kids when they throw fits. On certain issues I am about as far right as you can get and on others I am further left than America is likely to embrace. Immigration must not continue to be an emotional or political issue. The shift in the in many aspects of the American culture is going to occur, we can embrace it or cease to exist as a nation. Its is war or a prosperous peace , it wont be easy, but getting it done is much less difficult that the alternative. We must understand that American values and founding principles that under-pin our countrys longevity must be respected. Americans must learn to wear more than one hat when discerning the truth. Empathy ahould always play a part in policy making and national action, but sympathy felt can not unduly burden policy making or national undertakings.
