Those in the know will certainly recognize the 1928 Thompson submachinegun under this paratroopers right arm (notice the fully attached wooden foregrip and the absence of a Cutts compensator at the end of the barrel). One of the finest sub guns ever made in my opinion. As an aside, when I worked at the NRA, the rangemaster at our in-house range was a retired FBI agent who had managed to purchase one of these from the Bureau. Once a month, several of us had full auto lunch and took our sandwiches down to the range to shoot machineguns. Over the years, I got to shoot that Thompson many times and was able to fire several thousand rounds through it. Yeah, you bet it was fun! :)
