Those stinking lucky socks!!! Really! We spent an hour looking for one of them, because he couldnt play without them. Kid doesnt eat before games, because hes nervous. His dream was to rush for 1000 yards this season. He was at 805 at the beginning of the night. Well, things do not go as planned. We are back on the nightmare roller coaster. Although, doctors were hopeful last night, the setting didnt work. Jake will have surgery today. He is miserable. Jake has never been one to sit still. Cant move, hes hurting, and hasnt been able to pee. Theyre going to have to cath him if he doesnt go soon. Plus, he is not allowed to eat or drink, because the surgeons want him ready when they are. Surgery will require pins and possibly screws. Because the break is on his growth plate, his legs will potential be different lengths. The pins and screws mean a longer healing process. What I do know, is that my kid is a fighter. He is an athlete. Im thankful he doesnt have a life threatening injury. He is a healthy boy. Thank you for all the love and support.
