Those that know me well personally know that Ive suffered with a fairly debilitating skin disorder that cracks and peels layers of my skin away on my hands. Ive continued to work with this through its good days and extremely bad days, when the pain of it overwhelms me completely. Within the last 24 hours, I made up my mind to demand real treatment. No matter the cost. Today after 6 years of battling this demon, I was finally diagnosed with a fairly serious case of psoriasis. I was given a shot and a real prescription. And its total cost was less than $100. Today is literally one of the most amazing days of my life. Having the bad guy pegged and a shield to protect myself with truly makes me want to cry from relief. I can continue with my profession now without agony and without the nervousness that comes when your profession is skin and yours looks unhealthy. Lets count this as Day 1 with under control psoriasis. :)
