Those who gain power through violent means shall hold onto that power violently. When elephants fight the grass suffers. And people pity the grass, yet we laugh at the elephants down here in the grass. We shout Its all good down here among the ants, its good to be so close to the earth.. This smartass world we live in, which went through its greatest period of growth under the shroud of an industrial revolution has become out of date. We have built the big industry nessecary to support a large population. But in our building we dont know where to stop, when enough is enough. We favour the Bsc, Bms over the BAs because we are taught your future is guranteed. And what does that say about us as a society? Are the skills we needed to globalize a world the same ones we need to exist within one? Some teacher asked some quiet girl in his class what are you drawing? She replied a picture of god. The teacher said but nobody knows what god looks like. The girl replied you will in a minute. That is what is missing fron society and most grown ups in general. A willingness to tackle the unknown, the confidence that comes with youth. Education teaches us to cram for exams and regurgitate the information. But what about creative thinking? What about shaping a mind to be able to function independently and not only under the guidance of a boss. It has resulted in a world that lives beyond its means. A world where its easier to get credit so that you can laugh now and cry later. Silly old people have put society into debt. But a thinking, questioning mind would not be content. It would seek alternatives to this never ending consumption that humanity has become attuned to. Corporations have us believing in never ending growth and profits. But what do we do when every human has a Big Mac and Coke? Is that what we consider success? Will we be truly happy? Recession my ass. People are always hungry, homeless, sick, without electricity, education etc etc etc. Those are all needs that are not being satisfied. Needs are job opportunities to the creative mind. But we are stuck in a world that has us buying iphones. If Steve Jobs made you purchase your 3rd iphone then your 3rd eyes closed. Can we have a little less noise from the profiteers, and more jibber jabber from the grass? Well done to the past generations for getting us here. Well done to the past generations forgetting us here. We thank and curse you in one breath. Nobody is poor, its just that those valuating you are not seeing your true worth which can never be quantified into monetary figures. I see you. You see me. We see each other so we are good.
