Those who want to claim that there are no absolutes and that truth - TopicsExpress

Those who want to claim that there are no absolutes and that truth and morality are relative need to watch this two minute clip of Kaelin Clays touchdown in the Oregon vs Utah football game this weekend. Kaelin obviously ran across the end zone, but he let go of the ball too soon. But hey, whats an extra one yard, right? The intent of his heart was right. And if he had held the ball for one extra second Utah would have scored, right? I mean, nobody but Kaelin could have possibly kept him from scoring. Well if you were Kaelin Clay, you might say, I feel like I made the play. If there are no absolutes youd say, That was a touchdown! Or moreover, if youre the cheering crowd not paying attention theyd say, That was a touchdown. Doesn’t consensus of the masses makes it true? No. There are absolutes. There are always those people, sometimes in the minority that will make their play based on absolute truth. Oregon picked up the ball and made a 99 yard touchdown exactly because there are absolutes. In the end, regardless of how you feel, truth wins. This is the law of nature. Those who believe there are no absolutes are like Kaelin thumping his chest with false bravado believing theyre safe in the end zone when in reality theyve lost the play. This law of nature like the rule of the game acts throughout all of our lives. Youre either across the line with the ball or youre not. It’s plain and simple. Whether you or the masses believe it or not does not change the law of nature. Those who ignore absolute truth and marry the spirit of the times will soon find themselves widowed in lifes end zone.
