Kolkata ranks 7th among other metro cities worldwide in terms of most natural disaster prone area where the biggest threat is flooding (apart from political situation :-P). Due to this an MNC , based in china, which has most of his business clients in kolkata decides to create a backup every week at its head data centre located in China. But since the data continously expands and if kolkata is flooded(God forbid), data for a week would be lost and also due to jeopardized network situations there will be delay in sending the remaining data to main data center for the upcoming weeks untill the situation is improved by the disaster relief team. At times of such emergency and uncertain network situations this MNC needs a file transfer application which can manage the transfer of the files efficiently leading to minimum loss of data and time. Thus, design a File download manager with a GUI which will have the following features: a. Two or more nodes can be connected to the network. Each node can send more than one file at a time, given the destination address. The mode of tranfer must be full duplex. b. Transfer of one or more file can be interrupted in between and it should resume from the last position where it was interrupted. A checksum msut be added for each file to ensure the file validity c. In disaster, latency is a scarce resource. So, When a file is transferred to a node, the file name and its size must be checked at the destination node to avoid duplicate transfer. d. Each file can be assigned a priority during transfer so that the higher priority file reaches the destination when resumed from interruption Note: UDP socket must be used 2. Sundar has a new business idea and needs to communicate this new idea to his two seniors in his office, one of whom is located in london and other is settled in New Castle. He doesnot have any telephone but has a webcam enabled laptop with audio recording feature and also has an internet connection. He needs an application which will connect to his two seniors located in different geographical locations and eventually help him to communicate his business idea through webcam in realtime over internet. Also the seniors and sundar can share text messages which will be visible to all of them. So design an application with a GUI which will have the following features: a.More than two machines must be connected over a LAN and create a multicast group among themselves. b. Any one of the node in the multicast group should be able to stream the live webcam recording(audio & video) to the rest of the nodes in the multicast group. c. Each node can send text message which will be visible to all the members in the multicast group(multicast chat). The messages can be sent simultaneously or in a full duplex mode.
