Brian Anders and his wife, Jessica are people who want to do something about multiple sclerosis NOW. On July 5th, 2012, Brian was diagnosed with MS. Both are avid runners so they wanted to raise money for MS by running in a race. They were not successful in finding a race but felt compelled to do something so they organized the Anders MS 5k run/1-mile walk for research. In their first year, they had 162 participants and raised $7,000. They hope to raise double that amount at their race this year on May 31st on the Fallbrook campus. This is your opportunity to make things happen NOW! The first treatment was introduced to the market in 1993 for people living with MS. Since that time, nine additional treatments have been made available. The research that has contributed to each of these treatments has all been supported by the MS Society. There is still no known cure or cause but the National MS Society continues to support over 325 research projects aimed at stopping the disease, restoring function to those with MS, and hopefully ending the disease forever.
