Those with more than one child may appreciate this. So the eldest starts to question the whole Santa thing. Its impossible Mum, he cant......as if reindeers can really fly.......how can he get to every house in one night....its not true!! And often the inquisition is in full earshot of the little ones. So what do you do??? I dont know the official best practice keep the dream alive policy, but heres what I do: 1. Say nothing!! Dont enter the discussion. Plead ignorance. I have no idea how he does it..... and leave it at that! 2. Dont pull faces and wink at the eldest. Youll get caught. Play your best poker face. 3. Dont whisper secrets to the older one. Leave them hanging....if theyve worked it out then theyll be OK. If they are on the fence then no point pushing them over! Like any good PR agent will tell you. If youve got something to hide, best say nothing else youll catch yourself in your own net!
