Those with the least to give are often the most generous, the ones brought up in the worst situations often turn out to be the kindest, and the ones with no reason left to live often come through the most compassionate and empathetic. This is for three reasons: 1. Human-beings are a very strong willed species. 2. Wealth corrupts. 3. For the intelligent dont need fear of torture to see the merit in a good deed.
