Though I am not a food blogger, I would like to share a recipe with you. I call this dish Daves Royals Jubilee Take one beautiful October day in Kansas City and add one Kansas City Royals American League Pennant. Allow to marinate overnight. Add another beautiful October day in Kansas City and continue to marinate another 8 hours. To a large tumbler of El Jimador tequila add an equal part of fresh orange juice. Repeat. Place a carry out order to Oklahoma Joes (some people call it Joes Kansas City, I call it Oklahoma Joes). I use one slab of ribs and an order of beans, but you may season to taste. Allow El Jimador to simmer and add more as necessary. Take new Lucinda Williams cd, Down where the Spirit Meets the Bone and insert into cd player of pickup truck. Adjust volume to 11. With a slight buzz, get behind the wheel and drive 5 minutes to Oklahoma Joes to pickup order. Return to front porch, mix all ingredients to blend flavors. ENJOY!!!
