Though I am sometimes disappointed with Disney movies based on a true story, I thoroughly enjoyed the preview screening of Million Dollar Arm starring Jon Hamm from Mad Men. This baseball dreams come true film about Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel - real kids who got the life changing opportunity to get signed by Major League Baseball (Pittsburgh Pirates) in 2008. Regardless to all fictional enhancements, some minor stereotyping and over-dramatization aside. I loved the film. It made a real impact on the whole soul of empowerment and it reminded me of what my brotha and good friend Paul Pk Kim envisioned with the original mission of Kollaboration. Building upon his message of Dream Big!, this film resonates If you can dream it, you can do it. Fans of Mad Men, Disney, and the love of Baseball as well as my South Asian friends will like this film. It definitely leaves a warm and fuzzy by the end of the picture. Also it doesnt hurt that this film opens right during Asian Heritage Month, this could not have been better planned for this film. LOL. Million Dollar Arm opens on May 16 in theaters.
