Though I do have a lot of sympathy for the many angry residents in and around the Croke Park area, I do believe that they could have allowed the five day concerts to take place with a guarantee that it would never be repeated. We now have a situation where thousands of ticket holders will be hit by the cancellation of the last two days concerts. No less than 70,000 tickets were bought by fans overseas which will hit them hardest of all having booked accommodation to attend the event and this will not go down well in attracting tourist to this great city of ours. We are the losers big time and I hope a solution to this cock up is found soon .And I now hear tell that the event might be called off by the promoters who- with the GAA - are the main culprits. A bad day for Dublin.
