Though I dont feel as negative as my friend Scott about this movie, I will say that I fell asleep while watching it. That however, I blame on the fact that I was really tired when I started. The first hour was, as usual for Wes Anderson movie, beautiful. The story was brisk and engaging. The characters were typically as colorful as expected. Though it wont likely rate as high as other Wes Anderson movies, I did enjoy it. Anderson is a gifted artist with a very specific unique vision. That said, I would love to see him challenge himself with a more realistic film. His earlier films did not have the polished, Museum-like, curator-style that he has grown into, which is why a more realistic movie would be a great departure and an interesting experiment. Worth the rental if youre into quirky art-house films. It is a fun little caper movie, but its also a little bit forgettable. (which actually bums me out a little bit to say)
