Though I had to pay more for a blue luxury cab ride, it was an interesting journey. Not just because a gentleman deliberately get off early so I can have the cab. The taxi driver turned out to be an ex-banker - well-mannered and neatly dressed Malay man who spoke fluent English. He had a lot of experience in risk management and fraud investigation. However, even after 20 years with the same bank, he was earning about RM7,000 per month - not exactly proportional to his contribution. As a taxi driver, he now has more time with his family and earning a little less than twice as before. Of coz, blue taxi is twice as expensive as the usual budget taxi. But it was certainly very interesting trip!
