Though I have met You as the Holy Names And in my dreams, and many other ways, Still do I doubt that You truly exist And so I hesitate to share Your bliss. The world seems happier by far than me, Do I feel separations exctasy? Should I share this sad joy with anyone? By knowing-doubting You I am undone. For though You are the cause of all that be, Your omnipresence I can scarcely see. So how could I have known You as You are When everywhere I’m seeing You are gone. How could I miss you if You’re everything And if you cause all, why should I seek change And preach to lost souls ever forgetting The countless glories of Your Holy Names? Or have You caused their bondage to set free These covered souls by spreading excstasy. Is Sankirtan really only a game To spread the glories of Your Holy Names? Can I go out and share with everyone The truth that You have caused them to forget? Is this confusion madness of just fun? Am I about to understand You yet? If only I could hope that I’ll believe That You’re the cause of everything I see Then I might preach again and feel free To help spread Sankirtan more liberally. You have created free will, and now we Have confused everything to prove it’s true That nothing could be better than to be Forever seeking and adoring You. Thus doubt and confusion are kinds of bliss Which give the opportunity of faith. Let me distribut Krishna Consciousness And spread this mantra and change the world’s fate.
