Though I love the language, culture and history of France, I hold the Fifth Republic of France in nearly complete contempt because of the many ways in which it embodies the abandonment of right reason. Nevertheless, France is an indispensable nation of the West and a member of NATO, and this morning, France was savagely attacked by Islamofascist Jahidists who want to see our entire civilization in ashes. These are not men with whom we can reason, and there can be no negotiated settlements with those dedicated to Jihad. It is time for all the nations of NATO to understand the true nature of this war and respond with all necessary force to deprive our enemy of his capacity to make war on the West. For thirteen years we have tried measured conflict, limited war, and civilization building, and it has availed us nothing. It is time and past time to put down our foe once and for all, and that will entail a global war of great ferocity. Does the West have the stomach for such a fight? Can we do what is necessary to defeat our enemy completely? The Jihadists are betting that we cant do it. Where is our Churchill? Where is Frances de Gualle?
