Though Im really pushing my workshops at the moment and would really not like to get people side-tracked, I feel compelled to write this as it is a matter of good conscious and more, genuine respect for you women out there who enjoy my work. I was contacted by a woman here on a PM yesterday. She lives in Dubai, asking me at what time were we going to be shooting this Wednesday, as in tomorrow. I read this PM and was immediately in serious mega-confusion. Then it hit me, another impersonator was at it again. I reply to her stating that weve never spoken before but do contact me here as to what transpired. Though devastated by the fact she had been scammed and taken advantage, she told me the story. She was contacted by a woman here on FB who said she represents me (after hearing her name Ive never even heard of her), wanted her to audition via Skype with me for a commercial. She did, a one-way Skype so that he could see her but she could not see me or this douche-bag impersonating me. His excuse, his internet wouldnt sustain his image. Nice... Well, he required her to dance topless for him before telling her she got the job. Of course, there was/is no job. Women everywhere on Facebook. If you dont see that smiling face up above in my profile photo looking back at you on Skype or in person, whoever youre speaking with is NOT DAVID MECEY! So if someone claims theyre me but you cannot see me, tell them to F off. Then contact me here or via my personal email, david@davidmecey. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE dont accept people at face value.
