Though it is too premature to say but I am pretty sure that the Chinese model of development with repression of democratic freedoms , will not long last. The moment , recession grips Chinese economy , there will be more rebellions by masses due to frustrations of falling living standards. Then the Chinese political masters will use force and opt for repressive regime but in this process their economy will take a toss and start shattering . The global investors who have opted ,will start withdrawing themselves. They are waiting for alternates. Let our india with its democratic dividend , occupy this space. When, this windfall will happen , I do not know but my understanding of Chinese political economy convinces me.
