Though the warnings were real, we never thought it could happen to us, such a culturally rich and beautiful country as ours, PNG. On the 20th of October 2014, in an international flight from Manila to Port Moresby’s Jacksons International Airport came a passenger traveling in from Cape Town, South Africa, she was carrying the deadly Ebola virus. Young and naive our country was to not act fast in setting up screening and defensive measures to detect and prevent this deadly virus. The infected passenger arrived in Port Moresby at 10:15am, waited in the busy domestic terminal for 1hour 20minutes before boarding her flight to Rabaul. In the terminal during that time was passengers travelling to, Lae, Madang and Hagen. May God help us. Dont know if its true. Somebody, anybody.. confirm!
