Though the women have gotten their voting right in many countries, but still they cant exercise their voting right independently. Theyve to vote according to their husbands choice. Though the women have been able to achieve the right to contest in the election, but they still cant function independently as a peoples representative. In the local body- in village panchayate or municipality - the husbands of the female members would function on behalf of their wives. Even in the official meeting the husbands used to take active part with their wives. This is the true picture of the voting right of the women. So, the women need to raise their voice for true voting right so that they can function without the intervention of the men.
