Thought For The Day..... Why do I call my heavenly father Jehovah God? Have you ever wondered by whom the name of Jesus was given for us to put faith in it? (John 17:3) This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent Jesus Christ. Notice that Jesus said he had made his Father’s name known (John 17:6) “I have made your name manifest* to the men whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have observed your word What is his personal name? (Exodus 3:15) Then God said once more to Moses: “This is what you are to say to the Israelites, ‘Jehovah the God of your forefathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and this is how I am to be remembered from generation to generation. This is why I call my heavenly father Jehovah God, because he has a name and without acknowledgement of this great detail, and the fact that Jesus is his son who died that we might live is the ONLY way I can be saved and inherit everlasting life.
