Thought For Today: Do you realize that on a day to day basis, we put more FAITH in THINGS and other people than we do our GOD? This is why I say this: When we get ready to sit down, we dont tend to examine the chair, couch, etc., to see if we think its going to hold us, we just sit down. We have FAITH that they will HOLD US UP! When we put gas in our vehicles, we dont question whether it is water or oil; If it says GAS, then thats what we have FAITH that IT IS! If we get in our vehicles to go somewhere, we dont question whether its going to start or not; We have FAITH that when we turn the key in the ignition, it is going to START. If we want to travel via train, plane, boat, or bus, we dont question whether or not the driver, pilot, or captain is going to take us to our destination; We just take a seat, having FAITH that they will. When we turn on our GPS, we dont question whether we are being led in the right direction or not; We have FAITH that we are, and we follow it. We go in a restaurant or to a fast food place for food; We dont question if the food and the preparers are sanitary; We see the SERVE SAFE certificate on the wall, and we have FAITH that it IS safe. We go to the doctor and/or the hospital; We dont question whether the doctors and other caregivers are doing the right things or prescribing the right medication or treatment; We have FAITH that they are. We listen to the weather report. We dont question their report, we have FAITH that their reports are accurate, and we govern ourselves accordingly. NOW, our GOD tells us to TRUST HIM, LEAN and DEPEND ON HIM, BELIEVE HIS WORD, HAVE FAITH IN HIM-- and what do we do? We QUESTION HIM; We DOUBT HIM; We dont put our TRUST in HIM; We dont BELIEVE HIS WORD; We dont STAND ON HIS WORD; We dont HAVE FAITH in HIM! Oh my LORD, and HE MADE US! HE sent HIS ONLY SON to REDEEM us BACK to HIM; HE ALLOWED HIS ONLY SON to SUFFER sin and shame FOR US, although HE KNEW NO SIN; HE has KEPT us, OVER and OVER and OVER AGAIN--YET, WE HAVE NO FAITH IN HIM; SHAME ON US!!
