Thought I would jump in and introduce myself before the reopening - TopicsExpress

Thought I would jump in and introduce myself before the reopening of Great Awakenings tomorrow! I am Lisa Rodebaugh, and my husband, Bill and I are the owners of Great Awakenings. Those of us in the Frankford /Northwood area woke up to a familiar news story of late about a home invasion. This is nothing new, but it certainly does not get easier to hear. This, in fact, is one of the reasons we bought the old, but closed Cool Beans / Cafe Java six years ago. Bill and I have been blessed by God with so much. It has been our desire as a family to strategically use all of what God has graciously given us to invest the lives of individuals, families, neighbors within our church and community. We are so thankful for what God has enabled us to do with these resources through some very difficult economic times. Lots of this seemed mathematically impossible. You can imagine our sadness when we realized the day to day operations of the shop became too much. Through much prayer and discussion we made the decision to minimize operations. Almost immediately, there were multiple offers made to manage Great Awakenings, and the Frunzi family was among them. We are so excited about this because Joe has been a faithful customer long before we were the owners...he too is invested in this neighborhood. So come to the opening, enjoy the festivities that Amanda has planned. But once the half priced coffee is gone and balloons have popped come back! Even if that means going out of your way...because the kind of investments that will turn a neighborhood around will take all of us through prayer, work and a cup of coffee at a time.
