Thought I would share where I grow up in the early years of my life. This is my grandparents place on Hillsborough Ave between Rome and Armenia Ave. My Grandfather Gardner build this build that had three apartments upstairs and downstairs were many things but I remember mostly was the doctors office and barber shop. On one side was a bar and the other side was a house and dry cleaners. He build this in the 30s I think but I lived there in the 50s with my Mom, Grandparents and Uncle. My dad was off in the service (Navy). I just saw recently the house he build and we lived in in the back has been torn down.
