Thought Id clarify because we are getting Paleo and LCHF peeps on here: To the Paleo purists I am familiar with Prof Cordain’s work on the Paleo diet. It has been recognised than Paleo man ate according to season and location. So therefore diet may contain a wide variety of different fruits and veggies, game meat etc. You eat according to appetite. No bogus claims have been made about chronic disease. However in the Pete Camp there has. (Refer to last comparison post). Now on Petes wall he has regular special posts from people who are in the low carb high fat camp. Low carb high fat, can be completely different to Paleo. A low carb high fat nutritionist Christine Cronau advocates eating sticks of butter. blocks of cheese and drinking cream as meals. Which obviously is not Paleo (she was also featured on Petes wall a few months ago). on LCHF - Fruit and all carbs are restricted close to ketogenic levels. The leader in the LCHF movement Prof Tim Noakes has been quoted saying fruit is basically candy obvisously if someone is LCHF in Tim Noakes group they dont eat much fruit at all. OK so some one can be Paleo and not low carb EG: they have no restriction on sweet potato and fruit. I find some cross fitters follow this type of Paleo. Whereas some people who are Paleo can also be LCHF if they restrict fruit and potato to a minimum. So they are NOT the same, but can overlap depending on what style they are Paleoing (Gabby)
