Thought Id share this again along with Matt Pattons thoughts. The debut record by Minnesota band ThelonesomeKid is something I almost missed being a part of. I heard all the mixes when I got off one leg of a tour this year. It was love at first listen. Im in and and out of the Dial Back Sound studio a lot, enough to keep up on most things coming through town. It was to my regret that this awesome thing had taken place in Water Valley and I had missed it. Bronson Tew and I worked on a lot of things while I was home that particular time and at the end of those nights we kept coming back to those mixes. Over a short period of time a song sequence came to me that the band agreed was pretty nice. And, before we mastered it, as luck would have it, I even got to lay down a bass line. Heres a trippy video the band made for the record featuring that track. Jimbo Mathus also lays down some nasty vocals on here. This record comes out online Saturday 12/27 and I couldnt be more proud for them!
