Thought Id share this with my friends. What an interesting morning! I was on the train headed into Downtown to work and the strangest thing happened. A Hispanic man approached me and told me I will learn to speak Spanish and when I do the devil will not be able to stop me. Then the dude, just non-shalantly went about his way. Seriously? I thought that was wierd but more weirdness was on the way. I arrived at work and walked in to the break room, then comes Lucia, one of my Hispanic co-workers, she walked right up to me and look me straight in the eyes then said, Hijo, I will teach you the spanish. Tu espanol es muy malo. Wow. Just wow. In my prayers for the past few weeks, I have asked God, if He wants me to ever go back to Latin America. . .give me a blantant sign that confirms He desires me to return and also to open up the doors for me to learn the language because I will not go back and be unable to connect with people beyond a translator. Im overwhelmed and thankful. This burden to reach out and touch the Latin culture with the love of Christ has been on my heart for a long time. Ive been confused and unsure about whether it all is just my will or Gods will but this morning He made things especially clear for me. I wont turn a deaf ear to this call.
