Thought for Now! Just watched the 1st episode of Cosmos, a revamp of the TV series of years ago hosted by Carl Sagan, this time hosted by Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. In the 1st episode he goes over the big bang theory, how old and large the universe is, our relationship to it, and some historical figures in the science of it all. You watch this and may feel very insignificant, very small, and not so meaningful. If you use comparison as your way to perceive the existence, this would be a correct way to view it, your present feeling of joy or depression, your present Win or Loss in this world is pretty small when you compare it to the events happening right now in this huge universe. But if we were not here to perceive the universe, to realize it, to think about it, to discover more and more about it, then would it exist? Only what you perceive exists for you right now. There are things about this universe (they only know 4% of the known existence right now, dark matter/energy is a complete mystery, but lots of theories to explain it) that know one knows about, it is possible for us little people to know it all, or is there a need to? Probably not, but we can be aware of it, and by way of that Awareness live our lives to the highest possibility available to us. If you truly realize that your day to day trials and tribulations are insignificant compared to the vastness and age of the universe, you may just start to laugh at what your going thru, you may start to take it a bit less seriously, and realize somethings about life, that realization may make your life a better, more present and enjoyable experience! The quality of your life is determined by the state of Joy, Peace, Health and Fulfillment you have within your life and inner experience, everything else is secondary. You do what you do (make more $$, get a new Gf/Bf, go on trips, work a job/career, watch videos/tv/movies, etc..) to achieve one of these things, to feel more joy, more peace, more fulfillment, so realize that sooner rather than later and make life that much better for yourself:) Have a Great Weekend!
